Job Description

Sapphire Energy is a venture capital backed company developing next generation biofuels based on recent advances in metabolic engineering. The company focus is the commercialization of high performance, low cost, and low carbon biofuels that will substitute for conventional gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. Seeking an experienced technician with skills in the areas of molecular biology, protein expression, and protein purification.

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in biomedical (or related field), with a minimum of 1-3+ years of applicable industry experience. The candidate MUST be a team player with strong organizational skills, and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for performing cloning, PCR, restriction digestion analysis, DNA sequencing, and checking protein expression in microbial expression systems. *We are seeking Research Associates of all levels in this department.
