Job Description

Sapphire Energy seeks an experienced and highly successful Lab Manager to design, supervise and run the daily duties that are entailed in operating a successful, high paced, GMP lab in a Production facility.

You will be responsible for but not limited to: Ordering goods and consumables for the laboratory as well as arranging any and all services that affect the laboratory. Handles shipping and receipt of goods for the laboratory staff. Tracks orders and inventory. Organizes and maintains inventory; enters inventory and stock information in LIMS system. Consults with Site Manager to determine equipment purchase priorities based on budget allowances. Maintains vendor files and order logs as well as equipment, supply, and lab food budgets. Assist in the recruiting, screening and training of new lab assistants. Assists Site and Facilities Manager in coordinating laboratory activities for training, safety and security issues and routine safety and security inspections. Assists Site Manager in overseeing the Services and Support Staff. Provides example of professionalism and proficiency for the laboratory staff.

Requirements:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with a scientific or technical emphasis. Must have experience with daily lab operations. Experience with health and safety regulations. Due to the highly collaborative nature of this position, interpersonal and communications skills are extremely important.
